On Saturday, 8 June, the Senior Class of 2019 processed into the Stamford Arena to celebrate their graduation. In addition to each being awarded their hard-earned Stamford High School Diplomas, select students were recognized for Subject, IB Learner Profile and Student Service Awards.
Guest speaker Mrs Stephanie Syptak-Ramnath, Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy to Singapore, shared some advice to the graduates that she received from her mother. ‘CAN’T is for the dead’ and that there really is nothing the students can’t do, if they put their minds to it. Mr Ross Plain, voted by students to speak at the Grade 12 Graduation added some humor to the formal event with a heartfelt speech that also included a quote from High School Musical. The graduation ceremony concluded with the traditional hat toss in Stamford Yard and a reception in the Adams Cafe.
