As we are nearing the end of the 2023-2024 school year, Stamford bids farewell to its graduating seniors with warmth, community spirit, and celebration. Our annual Senior Walk Through event has become a cherished tradition, marking the official last day of school for these graduating students while bringing the entire school community together in a joyous display of support and encouragement.
From across the field, Elementary school students line the bleachers, sticking out their hands for a high-five and cheering with infectious energy as the seniors pass by. Middle school students also join in the festivities, holding up banners of words of encouragement and admiration to the seniors as they make their way through the school.
After the walk, seniors are often surprised with handwritten letters from their parents, expressing pride, love, and well wishes for their future endeavors. High School Principal Dr. Ocki Fernandez and Superintendent Mark Wenzel gave closing speeches on the accomplishments of the graduating class and offered words of encouragement and wisdom for the journey ahead.
We’re proud of you, Class of 2024! We wish you all the best! As you take your next steps into the world, Stamford will always support and cheer you on.
