Business & Tecnical Education Counsil (BTEC) Program

Introducing the BTEC Program

The Business & Technical Education Council (BTEC) International Level 3 is a vocational education program for students in grades 11 and 12, focused on providing both practical skills and theoretical knowledge in a chosen field. Designed to prepare students for success after secondary school, BTEC programs are respected by thousands of universities worldwide and equip students for higher education, the workforce, or broader life challenges. Students pursuing the full BTEC Diploma engage in a two-year study program to gain an in-depth understanding of their field.

Age Group

Stamford American International School offers the BTEC International Level 3 program, a UK-based vocational education pathway tailored for students in Grades 11 and 12. This program offers students specialized training in specific industries, such as technical fields, design, and the arts, preparing them for further study or direct entry into the workforce. BTECs are globally recognized and respected by numerous universities, providing a valued alternative to traditional academic programs.

BTEC courses emphasize skill-based learning through themed units, moving away from conventional end-of-course testing in favor of assessments based on real-life scenarios. This approach enables students to apply what they learn in meaningful, practical contexts, building career-related skills and confidence.
